Mrs. Jennifer Huss

Mrs. Huss is a teacher in the 5th grade at St. Vincent de Paul and has been an educator since 2002.  She earned her BA in Elementary Education from Illinois State University, and then her MA in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University.  Mrs. Huss is a longtime Parish member of St. Mary of the Woods in Princeville.

Mrs. Huss exercises her Catholic faith daily in her classroom teaching religion to her 5th grade students. Her favorite saint is St. Elizabeth of Hungary, which is her classroom’s saint, as well as her own Confirmation saint.

When she is not teaching, Mrs. Huss serves as a driver for her four children to their various activities. She loves to cook and read, especially listening to audiobooks while cooking! She also loves animals, with several cats and dogs that double as family members. She also is a big fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bears, and Cubs!

Mrs. Huss enjoys her 5th graders every day. They can always make her laugh and smile. Her classroom is a place of positive reinforcement, various games, activities, and skits related to Religion, Math, and History. Her favorite saint quote is St. Mother Teresa’s, “Peace begins with a smile.” That’s how every day in 5th grade begins.
