Easter Seals Coin War for Lent   

Almsgiving is one of the three pillars of Lent.  SVdP's almsgiving project for Lent this year was for Easterseals.  We encouraged students to offer odd jobs to earn money and/or to give from their own piggy banks.  Our Lenten drive will ran through Wednesday, April 6^th.  On Friday, we had an assembly to report the results raised for Easter Seals and to learn more about disability awareness.  There also was a contest for the class with the most money raised for Easter Seals in the Coin Wars and that class would get to throw a pie in Miss Hogan's face.  The class that raised the most money was SVdP's 3y/o preschool!  They took turns throwing a pie at Miss Hogan.  Thank you all 

The total money raised for Easter Seals was:  $2,104.15!
