Declamations

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School offers the Declamation Program. This is an after-school activity that is available to students in grades 5 – 8. St. Vincent usually averages around 90 student participants. Declamation is where a student will memorize a 6 to 10 minute monologue or duet for presentation at a competition. This competition is usually held on a Thursday, at the end of March at one of the parochial schools.

A notice will go home sometime in January with more information regarding:

1. Signups

2. Nominal Fee

3. Practice Dates (Usually 6 Tuesdays or Thursdays starting in February from after school to 4:00 pm)

4. Requests for volunteers
