Student Council

 

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School has a Student Council for anyone interested in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. The Council has officers for 8th graders only, and 4 elected representatives from each grade.

The purpose of the Student Council is to serve the mission of our school. It promotes and carries out projects that arouse school spirit, promote leadership, and benefit all of our students, our school, and our community.

The Student Council meets one day a week, either before or after school, from September through May. The Student Council members are elected by junior high students. The election will take place at the beginning of the school year.

Qualifications to be on the Student Council:

  • Be proud of SVdP and be willing to work to make it better.
  • Be a hard worker who can attend meetings.
  • Be willing to share ideas.
  • Maintain a "C" academic average in all classes.
  • Have at least an "S" in conduct.
