Mrs. Kraft, innovative third-grade teacher
Awarded $1,000 Grant for Proposed Interdisciplinary Project on Habitats

Mrs. Kraft, our innovative third-grade teacher, recently was awarded a $1,000 grant. Her entry for the PNC Foundation and the Ruby K. Worner Charitable Trust was evaluated and proved to be a superior proposal! The PNC First Grant Program received over 90 applications this year and provides teachers up to $1,000 to develop and implement a creative educational project that aligns with student learning objectives. Grant funding is awarded to a teacher’s proposed project that seeks to:

  • Improve and enhance a classroom’s academic environment
  • Align to student learning objectives
  • Engage students directly and actively
Encourage creative and interdisciplinary experiences for students

Mrs. Kraft will use her grant funds to create an interdisciplinary project on habitats.
