Father Achilleus Tegamaisho was born in Bukoba, Tanzania, on February 17, 1965. He was ordained as a priest on September 29, 1996, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey in service to the Church. In his current role as Parochial Vicar at St. Vincent de Paul, Peoria, starting in 2023, he brings his spiritual guidance and pastoral care to the parishioners. Prior to this assignment, he served as the Parochial Vicar of St. Thomas the Apostle in Peoria Heights in 2022.
Father is the 8th child of 9 in his family. His hobbies include walking, soccer, reading and prayer. His favorite bible verse: Micah: 6:8 – “This is what the Lord asks of you; only this, to act justly, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with your God.”
