Mrs. Kraft is honored to be a part of the SVdP family as the 4th Grade teacher at the very place where she was baptized and confirmed—and where her family’s roots trace all the way back to SVdP’s founding members, George and Delores Monser (her mother-in-law’s parents).

She is a graduate of Texas A&M University and joined SVdP two years ago after spending 15 years in the computer science field, most recently as a Technical Strategist at Dell Technologies. However, central to her identity is her unwavering faith, which led her to take a leap from the corporate world to become a teacher at SVdP.

Mrs. Kraft’s vision is to help students see that God is everywhere—that science and faith work hand in hand in the world around us. She hopes to help her class foster a love for Jesus Christ, develop a deeper connection to the school community, and leave this year with a genuine passion for learning.

Her favorite saint is St. Margaret of Antioch, the patron saint of childbirth and pregnancy, who—legend tells us—fought off a dragon by making the sign of the cross. That legend is one of the reasons Mrs. Kraft has a bearded dragon, Liz, as her classroom pet.

Outside of school, Mrs. Kraft and her husband, Joseph, are the proud parents of a blended family of six children, each following their own unique path. Her youngest, William, is a student right here at SVdP; Ronan is a senior in high school; and Connor, Erin, Aodhán, and Samantha are all out in the adult world. For fun, she raises chickens and ducks and loves spending as much time as she can with her husband.
