Mrs. Ale Zwicky serves as a teacher’s aide on our preschool team. Originally from El Salvador, she grew up in East Peoria and earned her degree in Mass Communication and Media Arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Mrs. Zwicky brings three years of experience in Catholic education, having taught at St. Mary School in Kickapoo and St. Jude Catholic School. During that time, she has worked with PreK 3, PreK 4, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students. She is passionate about creating a classroom that feels like a family, where every child feels welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
Her favorite saint is St. Teresa of Calcutta, whose life of humility and service inspires her daily. She especially loves praying the Hail Mary, finding comfort and peace in its familiar words.
Growing up Catholic has deeply influenced Mrs. Zwicky’s values and the way she approaches life. She shares that her faith gives her strength during difficult times and reminds her to trust in God’s plan, even when life feels uncertain. Through prayer, attending Mass, and reflecting on her faith, she continues to grow in kindness, compassion, and gratitude. She believes that her relationship with God gives her hope and purpose each day and strives to model those virtues for her students.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Zwicky enjoys Pilates and spending time walking outdoors.
